Story quests continued & May gem competition current leaderboard...
I am glad a high majority of you are enjoying the story quests. We will continue to pump them out to give you the story of how the Dead City came to be. As some of you have pointed out they don't appear to make much sense, but that's exactly the point. "What the hell, this has nothing to do with ReignOfBlood?" Yes it does, just be patient. The story will not be necessarily be in chronicle order, because I have found that stories are more exciting when you get fed small bits of information and then come back to it at a later date to get the "oooh yeah" feeling. The story will start to make more sense as more quests come out, but I hope overall you're enjoying them and staying interested in how the story develops. Just released the latest story quest "the vampire council", go check it out if you haven't already.
The leaderboard of the gem competition (at 16:00 game time) is as follows:

As you can see it's very close. Remember you will get to trade your gems in for something not exciting, so even if you are not in the top 15 you can still keep your gems coming in and trade them in for something unknown at this point in time.
Next week I will update the leaderboard again with NAMES. Please comment this blog and let us know what YOU think about the story quests so far, or post on the forum by clicking here.

I guess I should come out and admit it now since we have got so much feedback. For all of those who have hated and loved the new Story Quests, I am the one behind writing them (Ash was the puppeteer and moved the strings for me). This new Quest we made more narrative to help peoples frustration so I hope that solves some stress. Pleasure to be known and not have to keep the secrecy though! Looking forward to feedback in the forums as I am making a post right now.

how can those leaderboards be right...i've hard 2328 gems since earlier this morning and that number isn't on them?
I have 2503 gems... and yet am not listed. What's up with that? Is it not accurately recording them or what?
whoever has over 3000 must be lucky as hell considering i've used pretty much every turn i have in the underground:/

yes you did. it means that you wont have a reason to complain about working and not getting anything in return even though that is generally the rules to a competetion. also as far your number of gems not being shown if you look back that was at 1600 hours game time. which means that at the time your gems did not number what they now number

Awesome Ash... but we all know that making a back-story to an existing theme has nothing to do with having planned it ahead of time... So... Given the circumstance, I have to say, very very well done with it so far. ;)

Pardon me sir, but, I was under the impression "http://reignofblood.net/about.php" had the story of how dead city, reign of blood came about,
just wait. After 6 years of these quests he will cancel them and state "we wont have time to answer every question" just to fuck the fans over.
oh and there will be a black smoke monster just for shits.

im on the bottom of the list now, but i wasnt when ash made the list, so everyonell have way more gems than they did then and its pretty much impossible for me to win :(

the story's suck. at first i thought it was ash writing them then didnt mind cause it wasnt that good and ash was probably busy with other stuff. but since i know ash wasn't the writer i can say that they suck and the writer has no excuse as to why they suck.
