I've spent the last few days working on a major upgrade of a well used feature in Reign Of Blood and currently in the process of testing it out. To put it simply, it's a way to reward those who are active and hopefully give something useful to do in between turns. It'll come out in BETA and have a week test run to see how it goes. If it takes off i can add more similar things which will give the active people plenty of things to do whilst waiting for turns, but wont be a major hinder to those who just spend a few minutes on the game. But obviously the more time you spend on the site & the more you work you do on your account should be rewarded, right? More on this in a few days.
As you can tell I've added a couple more quests, there are more to come. I'll keep adding them.
Now onto voting. I have added the 6 (and 1 more, totaling to 7) non turn bonus voting sites into turn bonus voting sites, meaning you now get turns for them! All voting like have been reduced to 4 turns BUT the extra sites make up for the loss, so don't worry about that.
But over the next 6 weeks (till the end of October) if i see a dramatic increase in RoBs place over the voting sites I will increase the turns (which is even more daily turns). But again that's up to all of you.

They used to be SIX turns per vote; so it's more work for us and the same reward, that sucks Ash.
Personally, the primary focus of the game is combat and yet the combat is flat. Meaningless is a more precise assessment. Click on the attack link, if you have higher stats you win!
I recently asked to ally with someone to attack a coven. To what end I asked? There is reward for winning aside from blood and some money. The persin you killed insta heals and is invulnerable for 15 min. So, how do you attack a coven and win? And win what?
The rewards for winning a combat are meaningless and the combat requires no skill. And if you use Fire Fox you can load all the attack links into one folder and open them all with 1 click. So, you can attack 150 people at the same time with one mouse click. So whoever has the best connection wins!
A level 20 pisses off a level 100 and the level 100 says he/she is going to kill the level 20! So what? Means nothing. Intant heal on a VIP acct and the level 20 is laughing his ass off at the level 100 and the level 100 is saying why am I playing this dumb ass game?

Well you certainly proved that you can do whatever you want. You've increased the time to 10 seconds between votes, increased the number of sites, and decreased the reward. Will that improve the number of votes you recieve?

its bullshit as man. u keep decrease what the votes are worth and adding more sites, why dont you just add more sites? that way the more active pople get more turns because they have the time to vote, instead of wasting more time to get the same amount of bonuses. when i first joined RoB you used to get more for each voting site, then u dropped it to 6, and now its 4? how is that fair
You still get over more turns that you did before. AGAIN the turns are a reward for voting. If we bump up in the ranks a little over the next month I'm more than happy to increase them :)

So, people have not been completing votes, which leads to Ash (whose project and one of his incomes RoB is), altering things (as it clearly states in the terms of service, he is entitled to do this) to increase RoB's popularity in the online community. Where's the problem?
If people put the effort into supporting the game, they get rewarded more: makes perfect sense. And in the example of the rank 20 vs rank 100 above, the rank 100 will have been playing for long enough to know (and likely not care) that the rank 20 has picked themselevs up, dusted themselves off, and continued on their merry way. It's a game, that's what we've all signed up for, so if you're not happy to play it, don't play it.
OK, the battling system isn't perfect, but it's entertaining and compensating enough that people are still playing. Same with all aspects of the game - and if you have been in RoB long enough, you know how it all works. As Impaler said - nobody's being forced to do anything. If you want the turns, and the chance for even more turns in future, vote. If you don't, then don't vote, but just remember you're spoiling things for everyone else who actually enjoy RoB.
Whinging anonymously rarely gets taken seriously from what I'm aware. Don't just rehash the same old argument that's been going round in circles for weeks, find something salient to make a point about.

The question that begs to be answered is if people aren't completing the vote and still getting the reward, why hasn't the problem been resolved by making it only possible to get the reward by completing the vote. It does seem rather childish of the game owner to punish his loyal gamers who vote every day for not solving the problem in the first place.

I can't wait to see what else is coming Ash. And in increasing the vote sites, I hope that people get the message. If not, I guess they can go play one of the other vampyre games (which suck!) and find out that RoB ROCKS!!! And I appreciate all the hard work you do.
By the way Ash ... I noticed yesterday that the game is already moving up with the "new" voting system. :D I hope to see it continue and maybe now people will get the message that voting is crucial!

To the person that said the combat was flat its a turn based game, what do you expect?
Play halo if you want everything equal but here the time you spend on the game is what matters and he is taking steps to impove that which I belive alot of players will apriciate.
Its the same system as many games, effort and time means reward.
You say VIP sucks yet VIP and plasma buyers keep the game running whioch has been explained before as its the way ash pays for it.
For the vast majority of players they do not pay but still enjoy the service so grow up and stop your whineing.
You may not of been here when it was said or you may of been and thats why you left your name blank but its against the rules to slur players who buy either one, you did not target any player but I feel you need to be warned just in case.

Fact,voting to support a gr8 site is and honour and a privilidge.its also gives you the upper hand against those that don't bother to vote.fact its galling to be killed by ppl using vip that started months after 4 did.yeah its a killing game and i don't bitch about getting killed i play the game so i kill too.question where is the skill or challenge in being taken out by a newb vip plasma pushing junky?yes they keep the game going but what about the rest of us that keep it going with ad revenue that vip conveniently switch off?
